“Name” is another word for soul, and so we have the first principle of the Kabbala:  It all has a spiritual base.

To start the practice of Kabbala as a spiritual way is the giving of “names” to things and people. Even today we find the Hebrew alefbeth in Psalm 119 in the Bible. Luther said, “that it is the golden alefbeth”.

We as humans and all other living beings that have a soul are basically spiritual beings, which show themselves and their energy through their “names” in the material world. Before coming into the material world, or becoming a human, we look for our identity and choose our material world, and everybody who is in it has agreed to be involved or will be involved with our life. That means life is chosen, everything and everyone in life, parents, family, friends, social events, experiences and the future.

The kabala doesn’t identify the good or bad. The only message it gives is: “there is only god”.

“Name” is another word for soul. We are all spiritual beings, who give ourselves to understand who we are through our “name”.
